Phoneless

Today I am thankful for not having a Cellphone!
Everyone nowadays has a cellphone, and spend most of their time on it.  I went out with my sister and husband last week to '5 Guys' it recently opened here (pretty good burgers) anyways, there we were sitting outside enjoying our burgers and fries..and the nice weather, I noticed that both my sister and husband were heads down on their phones!! seriously?!  (I dont have a phone..boo!)  but I kinda like that I dont or else, I'd be one of those people: bent heads over phone allll the time,  Instead I enjoy whats around me.  So I pointed out to them to get off their phones and pay attention, but instead they told me to go take some pictures somewhere (the nerve, I tell you) anyways, thats exactly what I did.  A couple teenagers sitting outside eating their meals probably thought I was crazy, walking around the restaurant taking pictures...haha..oh well!!

Very nice photos of you seeing the world and not face down on a phone. I have one, but never use it, it is a bit annoying when people can't have a simple lunch without it. I worked in food retail, I always ignored the customers on their phone at the counter, I didn't want to have to cipher what they wanted, mid conversation, especially when there was other people waiting.

Mmmm, Five Guys. We have one of them right next door to my apartment building. So, so good.

And, as usual, gorgeous photos!

Gorgeous pictures!! I agree many of us spend too much time staring at a screen rather than real life!

I have a cellphone, but I'm a terrible cellphone user - in that I rarely hear it ring, check it seldomly... It's amazing all the beautiful images you took while they were busy on their phones!

Love your photography! I do have a cell phone, but I'm rarely on it, only when hubby or kids call me.

These pictures are so good! And I agree that it is annoying how much time people spend on their cellphones. Sadly, I have to admit that sometimes I am one of those people. Especially with checking my email! But I try not to check my phone when I am hanging out with other people, it is just rude. My husband even gets mad because I don't respond to him while I am hanging out with someone else.

I'd say you got some wonderful shots! I'm glad you don't have a cell phone too. It drives me crazy when my son/nephews are constantly on the phone while we are doing family things.

My cell phone is basic pay & talk that maybe gets used once a week and I like it that way. Way more fun taking pictures than talking or texting . . . love your shots, especially the coneflowers.
