Edit Me Challenge

So today I decided to try the Edit Me Challenge.  They provide the picture, and we get to edit, and they choose the one they like best..pretty cool right?
so this is the before picture:

and this is my edited version:

I first cropped the picture because I liked the sky and wanted to bring focus to it.
I then adjusted the levels to add contrast against the sky...I really like how the house and people in the distance look against the sky.
I then brought up the vibrance a bit, I wanted to bring out the colour more of the sunset.
Then I used a warming filter ...
and voila!

ooh, I like what you've done, the sunset looks extra vibrant. I've found you through the blog hop and figured I'd follow you as an amateur photographer. Though I don't have many pics up and my blog is mostly focused on beauty. Do give it a visit though? http://mishmreow.blogspot.co.uk
I look forward to reading future posts by you and learning more about photography too :3

Good idea to crop that way. The contrast of the warm sun and blue sky is lovely too.

beautiful picture! i like both actually, for different reasons. the detail in the sand is actually quite nice in the second one, but the strong hues of the sunset are powerful in the second one.
